Ash Wednesday Day of Prayer
February 14, 2018
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten Season. Lent is a season for many of us to have experiences many times over. What will make this Lent different than any other Lent? Each year we are reminded of the call to give alms, to spend more time in prayer and to fast. In addition this year, we are challenged to LISTEN to the word of God with a new attitude. How are you being invited to respond to the invitation, "If today you hear God's voice, HARDEN not your heart?" How are you being invited to "change your heart?

Lenten Prayer on Friday
Deepening our experience of Faith in God
by using the images from the movie
The Shack presents us with many questions about the faithfulness of God in the midst of suffering and grief.
We will search for answers as a community to the following questions: Where is God when I need Him most? How does God see me? Why are you doing this to me? How can i know the Heart of the Father? So you just let him get away with it?
All through the movie we are reminded: "You don't have to do this alone. I'm here with you, PAPA."
Each week we will view a section of the movie, with corresponding scripture passages, time for discussion and follow up prayer for the week.

Finding meaning in Suffering"
March 9-11, 2018
The Lenten Season ends with the Passion of Jesus, the Holiest Days of our year. What kind of attitude do you need to have to accept the invitation to walk with Jesus into his Passion and Death? What is our experience of the meaning and purpose of such suffering and sacrifice? When you are in your personal experience of suffering, or your passion, ,where do you turn to fin meaning? How do you carry your personal life struggles? Do you find consolation in knowing that only Jesus understands fully the human experience of suffering? We will pray reflectively with each of these challenging questions
